"Good evening Washington, I'm Hillary Kenkel. A nation still recovering from the Challenger disaster is hit with new tragedy just three days later.
President Reagan disappeared from his residence at the White House late this morning.
He was last seen by First Lady Nancy Reagan at 11:38 AM when he reportedly left the First Lady to wash his hands before lunch. WEGM robot reporter Alan Android is on the scene at the White House to report on the investigation. Alan?"

"Thank you, Hillary. Hours into the investigation of the disappearance of President Reagan, Secret Service investigators remain baffled by the president’s disappearance.
The incident was reported by Mrs. Reagan just after noon Eastern time, as the president failed to appear for lunch with the First Lady, a meal he is known never to miss.
Investigators were on the scene within minutes and have been working to determine a cause. In this most unusual case, they have found no evidence to indicate forced entry, nor a point of exit, NOR anything to suggest foul play, or that the president himself left of his own accord.
\During an official statement this evening, a Secret Service spokesman told reporters that until an official cause is determined, he would not comment on whether there was any connection to the Challenger tragedy. However an anonymous NASA source has informed me that the First Lady has ordered that the space program be relaunched as part of the search and rescue effort for the President. This about-face comes just days after the unprecedented move the President made of cancelling the space program following the Challenger explosion."
